Garver Events operates the various event spaces at Garver Feed Mill as well as the Garver Lounge, Garver Kitchen, and Canvas. The team plans and executes a wide array of private events in six unique spaces, and the public and community programming is just as varied. This big, breathtaking blank canvas requires a creative and experienced team to transform Garver Feed Mill into a unique experience for a variety of clients, performers, audiences, and artists. Dedication to locally-sourced food, beverage, and talent, sustainability, community outreach, and high-quality customer service are keystones in the Garver Events ethos.

Director of Event Operations

Tia has over 15 years of diverse event planning experience. She’s gained much of it at Alliant Energy Center, restaurants, Trek Bicycle, and Underground Food Collective where she has planned and executed dozens of events per year, including private events, corporate parties, and fundraisers. Tia has been with Garver from ground-breaking, overseeing the beginning of bookings, menu development, and the very first events in Garver Feed Mill. Her goal is to make clients feel welcome and supported and create unforgettable experiences for clients and their guests.

Director of Public Programming and Business Operations

Bethany has been working in hospitality for two decades, excelling at creative events. After gaining a masters degree in Contemporary Art Theory from Sotheby’s Institute in London, she moved to New York City and developed an expansive career in the food and beverage industry. She managed bars and fronts-of-houses at busy staples throughout the city and events at a Michelin-star restaurant before relocating to Madison. In Madison, Bethany has produced large-scale culinary and visual art pop-ups as fundraisers for local non-profits, as well as lectures, conferences, and performances. Bethany aims to create impactful events and sustainable community support at Garver.

Director of Food and Beverage

Dan's passion for food and hospitality began in high school while working as a part-time cook and counter attendant at a pizza and hot dog shop in his hometown of Geneva, Illinois. Since then Dan has been involved in many areas of the industry including bakeries, hotels, fine dining restaurants, and was most recently the Culinary Director at the Heights Kitchen before arriving at Garver. Dan’s accolades include being named “Culinary Conqueror” at the 2009 Madison Food and Wine Show, and recently, he further expanded his food and beverage knowledge by successfully completing the Court of Master Sommeliers Introductory Sommelier course. Dan strives to create a world-class Madison experience for Garver guests through creative, yet approachable, locally-sourced food.
