Event Server

Garver Events is hiring energetic Event Servers looking to provide excellent service to all Garver Lounge patrons and special event guests! Servers are responsible for the proper set up and take down of events, assisting with food and beverage service, and ensuring that each guests' needs are attended to. The servers’ duties can vary greatly depending on each individual event booked. Candidates must be detail oriented, friendly, and have the ability to stand for long periods of time. Event Lead

$15-$17/hr plus tips

Garver Events, the operating company of Garver Feed Mill, is seeking serious hospitality professionals to fulfill the part-time role of Event Lead for Garver Events. This position is expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and must have weekend availability.
The Event Lead reports to Event Coordinators and therefore requires keen organizational and multi-tasking skills as well as a proactive attitude. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the food and beverage industry is required. Supervisory experience is preferred as the Event Lead will manage day-of event staff. Positivity and excellent interpersonal skills are essential as the Lead will deal with various customer communications and may encounter high-stress situations. Proficiency in Google Suite is required and an aptitude for learning new software is ideal.
Responsibilities:
-Responsible for day of event coordination, managing Garver Events staff, and communicating with external vendors and clients
-Ensure event setup is correct and employees are following the schedule
-Implements event details using event reports and vendor orders
-Accommodates on-site requests based on the general understanding of building and equipment use policies.
-Ensure spaces are clean, safe, and properly signed, and that guests, vendors, rented equipment and staff make it safely out of the building following the timeline.
-Obtain a Bartending License
-Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure accurate menus and a smooth customer experience
-Other tasks as assigned by department heads and event coordinators
-Ability to lift and carry 25-30 pounds to above waist level, be on feet for 6+ hours.

Assistant Food and Beverage Coordinator

The assistant to the food and beverage coordinator will work within both public hours and private event hours. The position requires a close relationship with the kitchen and bar to ensure the best possible service is given within the venue's capabilities.
We're seeking an engaging candidate with an interest and excitement to learn about all things food and beverage! Garver Events works with local farms and purveyors to provide seasonal, ethical, and sustainable cuisine. Hours vary depending on the events scheduled. This position is expected to work a minimum of 15 hours per week and must have weekend availability. Proficiency in Google Suite is required and an aptitude for learning new software is ideal.
Qualifications:
-1.5 years experience in the food and beverage industry preferred.
-Agile functionality -- lifting 50 pounds, working on your feet for 6 plus hours.
-Basic bar knowledge and skills as a bartender
-Restaurant / catering experience in table service
-Basic knowledge of commercial kitchens

Kitchen Porter

Garver Events seeks an energetic Porter to maintain our kitchen- the heart of Garver Events and The Garver Lounge! This individual’s primary responsibility is to keep all the work areas in a kitchen clean throughout their shift. This includes sanitizing work stations throughout the day, maintaining kitchen equipment, cleaning cookware such as dishes, pots, and cutlery, and mopping or sweeping the kitchen floors to keep the area clean. Additional duties as assigned in our fast paced work environment. Pay starting at $14/hr.

Kitchen Staff

$17/hr

Garver Events seeks hard-working, motivated, and capable candidates to join our team in the Kitchen. Garver Events has a fast paced, fun & motivating culture, where initiative, reliability, and pro-activity are highly valued. We focus on local and sustainable food sources and change our menus to reflect that seasonally. The kitchen staff will ensure quality food service is provided at all times. This role will assist in a multi-faceted organization that provides everything from coursed private dinners, casual bar snacks, weekend brunch, and catering large and small custom events. This position will be initially expected to work 20-30 hours a week. Weekend availability is a plus. Potential growth to full-time for the right candidates comes with insurance benefits and paid time off. This position has an hourly salary of $17 hr plus tips depending on experience and availability.
